Overview
There are numerous facets to a good email marketing campaign. The following provides some key insights and a sample email from one of our client's campaigns.

Director Technology Partners email campaign for RoseBrand.com is a good example of an effective campaign that has contributed to increasing transactions better than 200% vs. the same period year ago.
In general, campaign objectives were to generate increased site awareness, traffic, and sales among theater and entertainment industry personnel involved with production. A list of email topics was put together that included specific categories of products and services to be highlighted throughout the year, in addition to topics for a section on "Production Tips & Techniques" that would be of high interest to the target market. Weekly emails would be comprised of a selection of products, married to a section on tips and techniques.
Email addresses were acquired on the Rose Brand site through visitor opt-ins to receipt of marketing materials. (Rented lists may also be used, but these tend to be somewhat less effective.) Director Technology Partners reviewed and cleaned the email list to insure efficient email blasting. Then, on a weekly basis, we developed the email creative based on the copy provided by Rose Brand. Emails were crafted to be consistent with the look and feel of the Rose Brand site, and tested on an ongoing basis to learn how to make the program more effective with each successive campaign. Both HTML and text versions of the emails were created, with all email images residing on the server to insure efficient email deployment and speedy download to user inboxes. Using a qualified, white-listed email program, messages were delivered to inboxes.
The campaign has been a resounding success, contributing to triple digit increases in traffic and sales vs. year ago.
